Intimate Richard Buckner Show In Nashville

There is a certain music with a certain sound that comforts and entices me. It is a sound that I am always chasing after. It's a sound that I want to hear and create. It's a sound that just a handful of artists capture me with. It's an aching timeless sound that comes through in artists like Hank, Dylan, Cash, Hendrix, Miles and sometimes lesser known artists.
One of those artists is Richard Buckner. I first read about him in the pages of the alt country magazine No Depression back around 2000. Shortly after that I bought his album Since, and it put a spell on me.
Tonight Richard played a solo acoustic show at one of Nashville's coolest new venues, The Stone Fox. Buckner played a beguiling set that included selections from stellar albums like Dents and Shells, Meadow and Our Blood.
It was great to have Richard Buckner back in Nashville. Not only is he a great singer/songwriter and performer but he's also a really down to earth guy who is happy to chat with fans.
